Read More All new tiny house builds starting Sept 1^st, 2018 with a sleeping loft will be required to have a secondary means of egress.  This egress window is a 24” wide by 17” tall ellipsoid clear opening and is further detailed in NFPA 1192 Section 6.2.5.1.  And an illustration can also be located in appendix figure A.6.2.5.1.
