Movable Tiny Home Inspection Stages

Each segment of video must include a close up of VIN label

Stage 1 – Trailer Frame

  • Axles and tires
  • Brakes on each Axle
  • Length & width of frame

Stage 2 – Frame

  • Connection to trailer mounts
  • All hurricane straps & headers
  • Size of dimensional lumber or gauge of steel
  • Nailing pattern on sheathing

Note: A Partial inspection of the house wrap, if used, prior to siding and a partial inspection of underlayment prior to roofing shall be required. 

Stage 3 – All Trades

  • Rough plumbing
  • Rough electrical
  • HVAC system

(This may be divided into 2 separate inspections.)

Stage 4 – Insulation

  • Windows (type and U Value)
  • Exterior door
  • R value of Insulation (floor, walls, ceiling)

Stage 5 – Final

  • Safety items such as smoke detector and secondary egress.
  • Final plumbing such as traps and Air Admittance valves
  • Final electrical such as GFIC outlets and breaker sizes,

Note: Stages 1, 2, & 3 can be combined as long as everything can be seen (anchor points, hurricane straps, etc…)   A separate partial inspection for anything that might be covered up will be necessary.

Vehicle Conversions and Rehab Inspection Stages

Each segment of video must include a close up of VIN label

 

Stage 1 – All Trades

  • Rough plumbing
  • Rough electrical
  • HVAC system

(This may be divided into 2 separate inspections.)

Stage 2 – Insulation

  • Windows (if replaced) (type and U Value)
  • Exterior door (If replaced)
  • R value of Insulation (floor, walls, ceiling)

Stage 3 – Final

  • Safety items such as smoke detector and secondary egress.
  • Final plumbing such as traps and Air Admittance valves
  • Final electrical such as GFIC outlets and breaker sizes,

Note:  A separate partial inspection for anything that might be covered up will be necessary.
