DIELECTRIC TEST PROCEDURES

Even though the dielectric test had been required in the past, we’re finding there are many pieces of equipment to perform this test. Even licensed electricians have never performed these tests. We are also finding that people who perform a dielectric test could possibly be doing more harm than good. Since we perform a rough electrical inspection, we are not going to be requiring this test in order to receive a seal if you are inspecting to the NOAH+ Standard.

MINIMUM 1000 VOLTS IS REQUIRED FOR AC & DC TESTING. THE TEST SHOULD TAKE FROM 10 TO 20 SECONDS FOR EACH CIRCUIT.

ALL DIELECTRIC TEST FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO MAIN OFFICE AND APPROVED PRIOR TO SEAL AND CERTIFICATE BEING MAILED
