The New Tiny House Trend: Remodeling
Tiny Homes have been around for a while, but the industry has really taken off since 2015. There is always a trending multi-functional piece of custom-built furniture or Tiny appliance, that we are always eager to see but the biggest trend to hit Tiny Living is upon us; the Tiny Home Reno.
Tiny living IS for me, but I can also appreciate that its not for everyone, so after living Tiny for a few years some people are selling their Tinys. Some people just want to buy a new one because they love living Tiny and others may have had a change to their life situation and Tiny either works or doesn’t anymore. So, there is an influx of gently used Tiny Homes on the market just waiting for a creative person to see the potential and reach out to a builder.
For those manufacturers who haven’t considered rolling-out this additional service (Tiny Home Renovations) to their prospective clients yet may get left behind. NOAH is currently in the process of developing a new Seal that is only for Refurbished Tiny Homes. Now you can buy a used Tiny Home and get a NOAH inspection done on the remodeling process to ensure that the NOAH Standard has been met on your new purchase!
There are many Tiny Home owners who’s needs have changed since they bought their tiny, maybe a new addition or two to the family. Maybe the situation has changed and now a single person now occupies the space, or you bought a giant dog. There are lost of reasons to remodel. The largest seems to be that there is an ever-increasing number of used Tiny Homes now becoming available to buy and everyone wants to customize their living space to best fit their needs, so why not offer a remodeling service and broaden the demographic that you sell to?

Outdoor Living in your Tiny
It’s almost that time of year again. Time to clean off that outdoor table and chairs, sure up the patio fire pit and take a wire brush to the grill. Tiny living is about living minimally and re-connecting with nature. We all played outside as kids and now as adults we can enjoy the great outdoors again! Do you have a deck, porch, awning or roof deck on your Tiny? If your answer is yes, then you are truly blessed. Maybe I’ll try adding a potted garden this year! Here’s to wishing everyone a marvelous Spring as we venture into 2019.
