Build Manual now required for Inspections: Just a pain or Just worth it?
All new builds, wishing to meet the NOAH Standard and started after May 1st, 2019, will fill out an Owner’s Manual template. An Owner’s Manual is one of the requirements in the RV Standard NFPA 1192. Until now it has been left up to the builder to produce this Manual without verification. NOAH has created a plug-n-play template for you to use, that will be verified during the Inspection process.
The Owner’s Manual will consist of build details, warnings, dangers, other useful information and photos. This will benefit you by fulfilling the requirements of NFPA 1192 and provide a much appreciated ‘User (Owner’s) Manual’ for your clients.
We recommend that you fill out your template as your build progresses. You don’t want to cover something up that you needed to document or have a picture of, before it was covered up. You are welcome to use your own template, or you can use our plug-n-play template that NOAH has provided, it is easy to use, you just fill out the info and drop the pics in! And as always, if you have any trouble just give us a call, we are happy to help.
Some added benefits to having a Build Manual are that your clients will appreciate it. If they ever sell, then they will potentially get a better asking price since their build was documented so well.
